Student Clubs and Organizations

Beginning this fall, Student Organizations at all of ASU’s campuses will be able to register their clubs online through OrgSync. ASU has adopted OrgSync to help student organizations manage their membership and improve communication within the organization as well as with their campus organization office.

Registration Process for 2009 -2010

All ASU student organizations – new and existing are required to register their clubs annually with your campus student organization office. To complete the registration process, clubs must complete the following steps, not necessarily in the same order.  All clubs will need to register following the steps below (no exception).

 1. Set up a personal account by clicking on Orgsync SIGN IN (above in the gold bar) using your asurite and password. Click on edit profile and update your Last name, First name and email address. Make sure that you change your email address from @arizona-state-University format to @asu.edu format.

2. Complete the online registration form - copy and paste your specific campus link on to the web browser. You must have an electronic constitution and the President & 2 officers' information ready.

DOWNTOWN  - https://orgsync.com/forms/show/15292

TEMPE  -   https://orgsync.com/forms/show/18099

POLYTECHNIC  - https://orgsync.com/forms/show/15293

WEST  - https://orgsync.com/forms/show/15295

After the President of your club sets up his/her personal account and completes the online registration form, your campus student organization office will grant admin access to the President of your club within 1 business day. The President in turn will be able to grant admin access to other officers in the club. Note: It is recommended that admin access be limited to 2 to3 members in a club. Not all club officers will need to be admins.

3. Drop off the advisor commitment letter with your campus student organization office or scan and upload the advisor letter while completing the registration online. To access the advisor commitment letter, copy and paste this link on to your web browser -  campus.asu.edu/filesADVISOR%20COMMITMENT%20LETTER%2009%20Pan.doc

 4. Build your organization profile (club portal) on OrgSync. To do this, you will need to set up a personal OrgSync account first. Note: Only admins will be able to build Organization profiles under Settings. It is imperative that you set up your club profile as THIS WILL BE OUR PRIMARY MODE OF COMMUNICATION with your club.

5. Attend a mandatory information session presented by your campus student organization office. Information session fall & spring schedule posted below.

In addition to online registration, OrgSync offers student organizations an array of online options including:

  • A customizable page for your organization where you would be able to post upcoming  events and meetings, your organization mission, welcome message etc ( much like a webpage)
  • Improved communication within members through wall posts, mass text messaging and discussion boards.
  • Storage of important organization files including your constitution and bylaws, meeting minutes, sponsorship information, notes from past events, etc.
  • Better organization, through event and meeting tracking (attendance tracking), distributed news and to-do lists, and paperless forms.
  • Improved membership and retention. Inviting new members to join is as simple as a click of a button.  This is also a great tool to keep in touch with graduated members.
