Important Update

Hello everyone! I just wanted to announce that SoDA will be getting a new website shortly. We have found that while the OrgSync system makes it convenient to manage students in our organization; it also cripples our online presence with respect to communication.

We will most likely be moving to a WordPress powered website (Once we get the funding for hosting), which will allow us to reorganize the website into more of a many to many communication platform rather than a one to many platform. Hang in there, we plan on having the new website up and running shortly.

Unfortunately this means that we will most likely have to rebuild a user database, which means you might have to register again on the new website, but we feel that the overall benefits of this transition will more than make up for this minor inconvenience.

Why Join SoDA?

SoDA is a group at Arizona State University interested in programming or software engineering. We hold regular meetings and discuss technology, software development, security, tips, and whatever we feel is interesting. At our meetings, speakers present code and technology that augments a professional environment and real-world application. We meet weekly, though we don't want you to feel like you are obligated to attend ALL meetings (that would just put way to much stress on you). Our goal is to provide you with the information you need to advance your personal interests and build your network of knowledge and people in order to move ahead in the career field. We are an expanding club so expect to see much, much more.

SoDA now also offers, on top of meetings and events, class commentary where you can view comments made by other students on a class you may have to take in the future. Click the link above.

- Wednesday, September 1st 6:30pm in BYENG 210 as usual. We will introduce our objectives for the semester, and allow members to present any project ideas to the rest of the club. This meeting will be very important in helping us decide who will work in what groups. If you cannot make it, please request an electronic version of the survey that we will be passing out. Anyone can come!
